THE OPEN & FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

The 3 week open is upon us and we have 91 Tava members on teams right now ready to take it on! If you’re one of them, please read the following so you know what to expect over these next few weeks for the Open and Fright Night Lights. Here is how the weeks will flow:
Thursday 1:00pm - Each of the 3 workouts will be announced on Thursday afternoon at 1pm MST. Crossfit announces it live on Youtube and we’ll have a watch party for anyone who wants to come watch on the gym TV with us!
Thursday (evenings) - We will release a heat time sign up sheet on the PushPress chat. This will let you into a live document to sign up for heats times on Friday night. This is a first come, first serve basis. Once a cell is taken, that time slot is filled. Keep an eye on instagram for a Summit Physio Warmup plan and some Workout Tips from some of our elite athletes.
Friday (classes) - The gym will operate as normal the first half of the day. 12:30pm will be the last regular class. Open gym will resume as normal. The class WOD will be the Open workout. *If you choose to come do the Open workout earlier in the day during a class and not at Friday Night Lights, and if you need an official score for the CF games leaderboard, it is up to you to find a registered judge to judge you. The coach’s primary responsibility will be to coach the class.
Friday 4:30pm - ATHLETE BRIEFING for Friday Night Lights. Tava staff will talk through the workout of the week, division options, movement standards, etc.
Friday 5:00pm - Heats start and FNL begins! Heat 1 will be reserved for mostly CF Tava Staff & Coaches so they can be free to judge the rest of the evening.
Monday 5:00pm - Official CF games leaderboard scores due.
FNL #1 is this Friday and we can’t wait! La Tapatía Tacos Food truck will join us outside (Quesabirria tacos anyone?). We should have Open team shirts by Thursday🤞🏽so show out for your team and wear your shirt to workout on Friday!
Lastly, it’s about more than a workout. One of our core values is Together and this is a time to celebrate our community. Bring a camping chair, BYOB, fit-aids or whatever. Bring your mom. Stick around after your heat and cheer on the other heats after your workout! *If you’re not signed up for the open, we still absolutely want you there at FNL supporting if you can!
